My Painted Feathers are created to honor the beauty and spirit of the turkey. The art is painted in acrylic medium on white turkey feathers. The feathers are not plucked (which would hurt the bird) but collected when the turkey molts or sheds them in preparation for growing new ones.

Painted Feather Art is a unique one-of-a-kind creation. The images are original designs carefully hand painted onto the surface of the feather. It takes multiple layers of paint and many hours to create one finished piece. Feathers measure approximately 2" x 11" and are finished with beads and thread. Each Painted Feather comes mounted in a 12" x 15" glass front shadowbox frame.
