I've carried a sketchbook around with me for about twenty years. It is a great reminder for me to draw every day. I sketch mostly when I am waiting for something else to happen. I draw when I wait in line, when I am waiting at the airport or in those special places called waiting rooms. The most interesting images emerge when I think I have no ideas or nothing inspiring to draw. That is when I am forced to really look at something. That is when I discover what is so extraordinary about the ordinary.
